This is not cruelty to animals. That would be if I were beating the pigeon for no reason. It's called lunch and carnivores do that. Are you a vegetarian? If not, you should consider your role in animal cruelty. If you consume meat or wear leather, then you don't have much of an argument to make. The hawk is having a meal. That's all there is to it. You dont have to watch the video.

i did not record it for entertainment. i recorded it because it was happenning. I love birds. Both the pigeon and the hawk. These animals have to eat. yes, it sucks that they need to kill to eat, but so do we. there´s nothing wrong with showing these images. You can always pretend that it does not hapen and that hawks are vegetarian.

It isn't 'tight' at all, yes he could rescue the pigeon and only maybe save its live but by rescueing it you are going to starve the hawk of a meal and maybe even it's young. A the lion king said- 'it's the circle of live' and its such a shame that thse two beautiful birds are natural enimies.

this is a huge wasp, the largest in teh U.S. it has orange wings and a metallic green body. It is very large, measuring about 1 1/2 inches (about 4 cm). This one seems to be gathering pebbles and making a small pile.

beautiful wasp, but even though they are typically not aggressive, the sting is rated a 4.0 on the Schmidt pain index.Thats only second to the damned bullet ant.They say the sting from these wasps, esspecally from Pepsis-Formosa, just makes you want to lay down and scream.One researcher said that even strict mental discipline dose not even work in these kinds of situations.like i said stuning wasp, and i wish i could see more of them (ive only seen one twice :[ ) but its beauty demands respect

it was mesmerizing:). it was huge and the green on its body really shined. the video does not do it justice. it was an irridescent green that sparkled in the sun. it was huge though, and knowing that they kill tarantulas certainly made me keep a respectful distance...

A Cooper's Hawk just nailed a Nothern Flicker. The hawk is clearly seen on the Flicker, even plucking its feathers. But somehow the flicker got away. At the end of the video the flicker can be seen getting away into the bushes. he did not get eaten in the end. The video was shot by my friend Kevin.

Hi. As long as you have feeders and small birds in your yard, you are going to get the occasional hawk. There's really no way to get rid of it since small birds are its food. I have feeders in my yard and this guy hangs around once in a while. They do eat some birds but they are also beautiful to look at. From what I have seen in my yard the past few years, hawks don't really harm the small bird population. they go for the birds that are either sick or injured because they are easier to catch.
