This is the way I put leg bands on my baby pigeons. I do it between 5-7 days of age. When pulling the back toe through you have to make sure you don't force it if the little claw gets caught on the inside of the band.

I've been working on this in my garage for a little over a month. Today I put the finishing touches on it. Only small stuff is left now but it was finally ready for the two babies I've been handfeeding. I'm very proud of this and am glad to finally have this up. More babies on the way.

My Blue and Gold Macaw Daimon. He loves cameras and when he saw me holding it he had to come look. He starts dancing incredibly fast toward the end and it's so funny. I love my 'baby' macaw!
