I do use sugar water. Plain white granulated sugar and water. Start with a clean feeder, pour 1/3 with sugar & add water. Make sure it freely pores from the feeder holes and doesn't clog before you hang it. Change the mixture once a week and thats it. Also add flowers to your yard or in pots not far from your feeder hummingbirds love in the beginning of spring and through the summer for protein .Have a great one :o)

this is so cute, what do you feed them with, looks like sugar water, is it? I use the one you can buy in stores, but so far only got 1 bird attracted, so please what's the secret portion? Thanks for relying.

Thanks, glad you liked it. Well My little hummers have started on their migration and I am now left with only less than half of them, about 15 to 10. Once the weather starts getting cooler I can expect to see less and less each week. I hope to be blessed with a few Rufus this Fall and Winter season, like last year. That was a new experience for me. They look like golden rubby throats, but have thier own distinct sound. Thanks again, have a good one :)

I'm sure you will. I planted Zinnias this year and lots of them. The Humming Birds go crazy flying from the flowers to the feeders.They are so funny to watch with all their little antics. We are all learning to duck and dodge when we go out doors, there are just so many. I hope we have the same results next year.

I have three feeders out but next year I plan to put several more out. There were more hummingbirds here this year then ever before but still nothing like that. I just refilled all of the feeders and while I had my hand on one to take it off a male ruby throat landed on it. So I just held on to it till it left. For me, well it made my day...lol

Very glad you liked it. Actually I had 7 more feeders that were covered with the same amount of Humming Birds when I took this video. I captured only one because when I moved around too much they would scatter off, then I'd have to start my taping all over again. :) Have a good one.
