i understand what ure trying to say about cdjs/ djs/ pc but this is by far a toy for wannabee djs, nor is it cheap either 'denons5000' and the reno ft serato timecoder - u can also hook up vinyl decks with special timecode recs. Many DJ's even pro dj's use this program and it's so much comfortable to use since searching and carrying 'songs' is all in one laptop with easy SEARCH now tell me how is THAT suppose to be considered a toy when in fact it works like vinyl but better and convinient?

If you think it's bullshit, then in all likelihod you're not a scratch dj. In terms of sound quality and the eq section, the Dx-300 is decent. But the X-fader is shit. While the P&G X-fader is smooth, there is a wiring problem in the scratch mixer's circuitry so that the cut-in time gets larger as you scratch faster. try doing triple timed chirps or 3 click flares for that matter - they're impossible to do on that thing. That scratchmixer is mediocre for scratch djs!!

Bullshit. I use my DJM-600 primarily since I mostly play House, but for years I played on a Denon DN-X300. Still have it. I love that mixer and the Penny and Giles fader has never given me trouble after years of use. It's CLEAN. Now... I wouldn't buy the Denon decks over the Pioneers, but the Denon mixer is definitely clean.

If you already have turntables and a mixer, all u need is the controller or a dual deck cd player and a mixer will work as well. If you wanna be fancy or have extra coin you get the TTM57SL mixer with the serato controller built in...its all your choice

How exactly is he using Serato as a crutch? Serato actually makes juggling a little more difficult, not easier. This is so because visual cue markers are never the same for every song, unless you decide to set that marker at let's say 12 o clock on the vinyl after the start of every song. I think it takes skill to achieve these cuts regardless of how many other advanced scratches and techniques there are out there, everyone has to start somewhere. To me this is more than just "good ideas".

Weak... You're using the Serato as a crutch. It's cool that you're into DJing and stuff, but it's always good to learn more. There's some pretty good vids around here on YouTube that focus on juggling and scratching, I think you have good ideas, don't get me wrong, but I know you can sound much cleaner and precise. Removing the jar off what exactly? I have watched this video 3 times now, and it still bores me. The cuts you are doing are typical, boring, and sterotypical of a twinky scratcher. The track selection is uncreative (again typical) and you spend to much time on the cut "I wanna rock". Move the fuck on dude. Through out most of your session here, you are basically performing digital masterbation. In otherwords, its for your own gratification and "glory seeking".Doesn't change that you still suck

man,if you like vinyl thats cool, do your thing,. But thats an ignorant statement. For one thing at least 50 percent of dj's are digital or going digital in some way (virtual vinyl and such), vinyl in the classical sense is dieing. Just like piano's (real pianos) have been almost completely replaced with keyboards live. Whatever you can make sound good, do it. Dont hate on another guy for using somthing u dont personal like to work on. PLUS the kids throwing up his stuff, and that takes guts!

we grow dont we, for instance i have a 1976 coupe deville and i love it but i also got a 2006 maxima. keep the old school because its classic and they dont make them like that no more.. but that max - good on gas easy to find parking and just looks good. so i see vynil as the caddy and digital as the wax...and i look/spin dam good in/on both.. but digital is more mobile and i can freak both..but the main thing of digital is I CAN ROCK MY OWN SHYT..digital was like "removing the lid from the jar"

It's not just about skills. It's about not selling out for the bait and switch tactics used by companies like denon and pioneer. Look man, vinyl got the underground dance scene to where it was before digital destroyed it. So how do we get things to go back to a state of reason? Simple. Vinyl. Its the gut check for DJs and for record companies. When it became too easy, companies put out crap. Real DJS rejected it, and then companies put out safe crap andthat started the cycle of discount music

Denon is great, the problem is a buffer (short 15seg cda and 10 seg mp3), other problem is anormal aceleration (is possible repair !). I love Hot star and loops. Pioneer is more solid, no have problems !
