You people need to get over yourselves. Everyone has their own methods of raising gliders, just like everyone has their own method of raising children. I have a glider myself, and I have experamented with what makes her happy. I am sure that MOST people who pay over a hundred dollars for a glider do the same thing. This video is simply someone playing a game with their glider, and they took the time to record it, and put it on youtube.

Actually there are over 8000 glider owners on a board I am on and we put pouches and toys everywhere in the cage. Get a clue dude! I have had gliders 8 years and know ALOT more than you do!

STFU... Everybody has to be a self proclaimed expert... 3ft tall x 2ft wide x 2ft deep is fine for gliders. You don't see any pouches??? Considering that the video shows one corner of the bottom of the cage it's no wonder. Anyone who has a clue knows the pouches and toys go in the upper third as gliders are arboral. And you dare say what it's PROBABLY fed. I feel sorry for you for being a dumb ass, not these gliders.

A single glider should have a cage no smaller than 4 feet tall, 2 feet wide, and 2 feet deep. That is what the glider community feels gives them room to run and glide. Also, I do not see any pouches, a wheel or any toys. I feel VERY sorry for this poor glider. You probably feed it pellets or cat food too....

yea they are the best pets.when u 1st get them they are tough and wont like you but in about a week or so they get used to you and they are great. i loved mine every day from 3:00-6:00 and 10:12:00 i wood play with him when i got home from scholl..but he died now and i would do anything to get him back

Gliders are awesome. They can be noisy at night but the chirps are cute and the wodent wheel ain't so bad. They can small a bit like pee if you don't clean the cage often. They have a tough diet that commands dedication. I have four African Grey parrots, and I custom breed leopard gecko's and have an African Spurred Tortoise but the suggies are the most time consuming to care for of all.

, im sick of people always tryng to illegally smuggle our native wildlife so they can make money off them. Stealing babies from nests, killing the parents, smuggling them in socks, cramped boxes etc. Im sure they make great pets but just think about how they came to be in 'pets' in the first place, it's never pretty.

I agree with you in some aspects, not everyone can handle an exotic pet, or one like the Sugar Glider that requires alot of attention from it's owner. That is not to say however that there are not people who are fully qualified to own animals such as these. For example, I have a friend who has had a black bear for the last six years, and he's gotten along well with it. It all depends on the person involved,and whether they want a pet for it's novelty value, or because they want a new companion.

A Sugar Glider is a wild animal and shouldn't be kept as a pet, nor should it be compared to a domestic dog, cat or rabbit. Those have been bred specifically to be pets in order for them to get the right temperment, etc. Many domestic pets die because stupid irresponsible owners dump them, thinking they'll be able to survive because their, very distant and very different ancestors were originally from the wild. They have totally lost all survival skills hundreds of years ago.

Perch Suggestion Implemented

Candice feeds her hummingbird friends by hand using the mini feeder and sent me some pictures, she also told me of the perch she fashioned. I will share some of her pictures here later. For now the video shows what happened with the implementation of the perch. Enjoy.
