Also, there are some beautiful Elegant Trogons in Madera Canyon, which is South of Tucson. Some of the Trogons nest there in June, July, August. I've seen them there twice. We were actually there today, but no luck. And, Lake Patagonia(South of Tucson) has some nesting Trogons, I have seen them there twice, also. Good luck, I hope you'll have a chance to see Elegant Trogons. They're so beautiful.

it's a normal gar, but lacks colour pigment which is why it looks white. an xanthic morph which actually looks gold.

I found the trogon in the chirichuaha mt. in thr southest corner of az. it was not afraid and i came within 8" of the bird and seemed like he wanted to jump on my hand.I searched for 2 years and got lucky this day.goodluck on your search and let me know if yo need more info or pics thanks AL

The white thing is a garfish which I have never seen before in all my years of diving.
