I agree that elements in PoP is a bit the same in TR, but it i would say that TR series and TRU has much originality bceause 1996- Tomb Raider was released but PoP has released its game (which is similar to TR- the 3D) in 1999 so TR has the originality here. PoP may have started earlier but it was the side scrolling games. TR RULEZ!

Legend, Anniversary, and probably Underworld had many game play elements copied from Prince of Persia. The hand holds along walls and the wall run are very reminiscent of PoP. (not that that's a bad thing) I just saw game play footage from Drake's Fortune. Put some critters in there and a few level bosses and I'm right there. I prefer the mystical/magical environs of Tomb Raider though. I have to admit it has piqued my interest, though.
