In theory it would be possible to apply this to animals other than the wolf and fox, the required time for doing so would depend on the animals "willingness" to cooperate and it's brain capacity.For example a ladybug might be hard to tame since it's brain functions is rather limited while a more complex animal like a bear would be more possible. Id imagine that the animals aggressiveness towards humans would have impact on the amount of time required, so choosing a herbi- over a carnivore = wise

I heard those "tamed foxes" keep smart, but like you said, those aren't foxes anymore =/ The wolf/dog theory is intresting btw, but I guess they were more like the wild/tamed cat situation. Once wild dogs and now tamed ones. And btw, dogs were tamed for hunt and detection in those eras.. for keeping intruders at bay and etc. They are, now, tamed mostly for care... but thats not WHY you see tamed dogs today. I agree with you Kitsune (my nick also means "fox" btw, kind of a joke with "big fox" words in my language). Its cute but again its human messing up with nature. I too like foxes the way they are. Independant, wild and smart. And like any wild life in this world (or what is left of them), they wont mix up with other races. Thats how God created them (or nature itself, for those who don't believe in God). I hope countries keep protecting wild areas, more than they're actually doing.

Feh. I love foxes a lot, but if they keep this selective breeding thing up, they Tame Foxes wont be foxes anymore. They'll be like what happened between wolves and dogs, or wildcats and domestic cats. I'm against domesticating foxes--especially any further, because, in the end, they wont be foxes. They'll be like dogs... with fox blood. I love foxes for their beautiful rusty, snowy or sandy coats, and their wilder personality. If you want a fox like that, just get a dog.

Good stuff. The thing I like about a lot of Kim's old videos is that he looks like he's having fun and enjoying himself, instead of being so forced and artificial like most new videos. (Muchmusic and MTV, are you listening?) Kim's show on Q107 started to follow this same pattern too--he went from being really stiff and uptight to being laid back and enjoying himself behind the mic. Keep it up, Mr. Mitchell. (I guess I'm a little biased from living in Southern Ontario for so long!) Cheers.

i love Kim Mitchell hes AWSOME i see him when ever he comes to Buffalo but heres i story i got to tell... i went to his concert in buffalo and the whole time all the 6ft guys stood in front so i couldn't see him... and it was hot in there and smelly..but at the end af the concert i stuck me hand out to shake his hand BUT he looked at me and went right over DIDN'T EVEN SHAKE MY HAND i was soo upset...but i will always love his music i have been leasoning to him seen's i was a baby...
