That is an Elektra, though two years newer than the one she flew. Hers did NOT have the forward shroud but had the forward section of the engine open. If memory serves there is about a 30 inch difference in the antenna mount as well.

Its true that Aplhabet Aerobics has better lyrical quality then this song. This CD, "Fear No Evil", was wildly underrated...only because it was released in the nightmare called grunge in 1995 was it not huge. If it had come out in 1991 it would have been really big. The song "Outaa My Head" is one of Slaughter's best, it rivals the likes of "Desperately" off Stick it to Ya. I hope Slaughter keeps rocking and keeps it real - they are like AC/DC, they don't change with the wind...rock and roll till they die.

Aw that is so sad. If someone can't take care of there horse they should be kind to it and give it to someone else to take care of or have it put down by a vet in a kind way. What about the starving horses whose owners can't afford to feed them? No one is thinking about them. Yes, horses are beautiful creatures and we hate to see them treated like this, but would you rather see them suffering?! So many horse owners have horses who are in pain everyday and have to pay thousands of dollars on them every month so that horse can live on and have a so-so life because there is nowhere to take the horse anymore. I am trying to educate everyone to look at the gray area.

If you've ever shared a bond with a horse, you'd know that they don't feel enslaved. All of the horse trainers I've known approached the equines with gentileness and not violence. The horses whom I've known and ridden, enjoyed my company as much as I did theirs. How can you not see it when they whicker excitedly at the gait before a morning excursion? I'm all for saving horses from slaughter. They deserve more. They are friends and allies.

I personally have taken 6 off the track and found 4 of them homes and have 2 that I and my 5 year daughter rides all by herself everyday and wouldn't trade them for all the money in the world. I think it is illegal to slaughter horses in the U.S. but I'm not sure about other countries that border us, like Canada and Mexico. Either it's illegal, or they're working on making it illegal. Sadly, if they are caught shipping the horses to the plant but are headed to canada, they aren't punished (but you might want to do some research here)

keep in mind it isn't just the racing industry where horses are slaughtered. it's all over the world, and that includes all sorts of barns.we had a horse from my hunter barn that was slaughtered. i think slaughter is horrible, but not all the people in the racing business are bad. lots of times the meat packers go under cover to get these horses. i have lots of friends into racing, and i think its great what they do for their horses- treated like royalty! never seen a healthier horse in my life.

i'm in the horse racing business and i handle both claimers and stakes winners. let me make myself clear: I WOULD NEVER SEND A HORSE TO SLAUGHTER, NO MATTER HOW BADLY THAT HORSE RUNS. Just something to clarify about Hinduism, vegetarianism is in fact promoted as a meritorious practice, even in the bhagavad gita, and is not some new idea as the speaker claims. Further, saying that animals are created for man's comfort, is absurd in itself; it only shows an extreme human centric view in religion, which is quite common. Also, rebuking unrelated beliefs is a poor way to debate this issue, and only shows cowardice in admitting the immorality of killing fellow creatures.

I'm a recent convert to Islam and at first I didn't know where to but halal meat from not living in a Muslim area. So I ate a vegetarian diet. That resulted in a trip to the doctors with dizzy spells due to lack of iron! I ate lots of greens to get a good source of iron, but my doctor told me that in order to get the right amount of iron we'd have to eat tons of greens per day! So I think we were intended to be meat eaters, I didn't benefit healthwise from a veggie diet!
