No, I'd like a re-make; this film is good, but it needs a couple tweaks. First off, the original ending, which is like the Broadway show that preceded the movie where Audrey II wins and its offspring start taking over, is SO much better than the happy ending, which is good, but is nowhere near as great as the original ending. Second, Mushnik needs to be a bigger character, like in the show; he's such a funny jerk.... which leads to my third thing: "Mushnik and Son" and other songs back in.

There's nothing "unbelievably retarded" about this exchange, TheAngelsSpeaks15. The entire movie is a very bouncy metaphor for the nature of temptation. The plant, representing vice, started off small seemed innocent enough, but as it grew, it gained dominance over its owner, and made ever more ghastly demands. Actually, this is one of the smartest musicals ever made. The metaphor's a little easier to get when you see the original ending.
