Am I the only one who listens to this w/ a GOOD stereo? On my CD at least the bass on all the songs is overwhelming and distorted -- to the point where I simply can't enjoy it. All other CDs sound great on my home system. But this sounds like crap and is impossible to listen to. I've read similar posts from other audiophiles. Are ours just defective copies?

No problem my friend glad to share one of the more um...sportsman like stories in the world of Zeppelin. The legend goes kind of like this. Back on one of their very first US tours ('69 I think) they were staying at The Edgewater Hotel in Seattle. It's a hotel that extends into Puget Sound so you can fish off of your room's balcony. They even rented out poles in the lobby. Anyhow, Bonham and Richard Cole (tour manager) and some blokes from another band had a red haired groupie (CONTINUED BELOW)

I got to see them at the Benefit concert for hurricane Ike...I don't know what it was, but for me, it was amazing. I didn't know what to expect, because I was always a really hardcore, Zeppelin fan. That's true, Neil never did any 'real drugs'. In 'Shakey' he talks about Tequila and cheeseburgers and you would think he toked a little. But, even though Danny Whitten and Bruce Berry died of heroin overdoses, Neil never really abused hard drugs (I think). Even though Cinnamon girl and Down by the River seem like the perfect heroin songs they supposedly are not.
