Putting out water that gets full of hair/dirt, etc, and then gets dumped out and wasted, verses getting a faucet that can be set to auto-drip and (therefore) only deliver the small amounts (and fresh amounts) 24/7 for kitties. Hmmm, that would SAVE water, not waste it. I'll keep my auto-faucets and hope that others get their kitties the same thing.

Well the way it went was that he started of writing the story for it and ended up producing the project(thus breaking his exclusive contract with WB). I think he honestly didn't expect that the ones that would pick up the movie for distribution would turn out to be WB.

This movie would have been much, much better had it been made 15 years earlier when greater care and diligence was paid to animation. By the time this film was made in the early 60's, WB (as well as MGM and others) and cartoonist Chuck Jones (through his Sib 7 Productions) were churning out cheaply made awkward animations, similar to this. Had this feature been made in another era, by another cartoonist, it would be better remembered than it is today. Too bad. A waste of Garland's talent.

I loved this movie as a kid! :D Loved the cartoony animation! This is my first time hearing it in English. Though I'm amused, they're pretty off when it comes to the accent. In France (Parisian French), they would say "zey" for "they". To say "dey" is French Canadian (along with a few other things in the movie that are specific to the Canadian variety of French).
