I think it was creative differences that led to the break up, John wanted Paul to write more songs that had a message instead of his silly love songs as John called them which inspired the song Paul wrote. After the break up Paul said he was trying to write and not sound like the Beatles, I suppose John may have been doing the same, but their sound together was unbeatable and missed. How did he sleep?
