It is impossible to unlock Dopple, you can play him by using a program called Pacnyx where you overwrite a characters data and replace it with a monster. I personally think its easier if you find a map that has a Sleipnir in it and bring smoke screens. that way you walk into the fight and his hp is cut in half. smoke screen out. repeat until your sleipnir effect is gone and his hp is cut to say 200 or 300 maybe even less. then you just do what you do. rengeki rengeki rengeki and then beast awakening on him till he dies =P

You choose two other members in the grou7p to fight with and then dopplegangers for the partners come up and you fight them. After you defeat them you cant get them back because they tell you to go on and they will take care of the dopplegangers themselves.

The only way I know of to kill a doppelganger is to hit it with a really strong Divine Awakening. If you're very good at the game you can keep its health at about the same level (a pox on regen abilities!), then just keep building up your morale and hit them with Divine Awakening until they die. Without Awakening... I have no idea if you can even do it. Maybe if you used Heine's Zero...

Pro-Am & professionals don't only play FD. In fact, considering stage counterpicks are common practice in tournament, knowing how (and being able) to win in multiple different situations is a big factor in tournament|competitive play. I know though that some groups do that, but I think those are usually isolated groups (from most of the good players of the region. so are less experienced also), and among the minority. Being so, they're not the best representation of the true competitive scene.

There's a difference between edgeguarding (yes, I usually do let people back on) and generally just working someone near an edge, with little damage, only to try to knock them off and keep them off when a recovery would be simple. I don't know about you, but getting KO'd at 40% by someone playing Fox and spamming all the greatest glitch effects to keep you off is rather frustrating, especially when it happens repeatedly.

i see where u are coming from, i hate that ppl play FD all the time, it shows that u need a plain, flat surface to beat someone or makes u 100% to ur potential..but if u also look at it, it is where skill is.. i dont play competitively so idk, but i stopped playing FD and played other stages to get use to it, but on the other hand i dont play overused characters... hopefully Yoshi isnt overused, but it seems that as long as u can play the characters well in Brawl, it seems that u can still pwn

Those people who get all into how another person plays their game are a drag, but to be fair and look at this as unbiasedly as possible a lot of so called "tourneytards" do tend to be extremely prudish and pretentious to others. I don't think anyone plays ONLY competitively. Everyone that plays the game does so because it's fun, meaning lots and lots of friedlies. Glitches? And edgeguarding? wtf, if you're going to hit somebody off the stage, why would you not finish the job and keep them off? What, are you supposed to let them back on? lol, I thought that was the object of the game, to hit the others off and not let them back? You can't reasonably expect competing players to NOT take advantage of useful techniques.

Of course it is. Because it's just as annoying to us to go to conventions or online and end up playing against someone glitching the hell out of the game and edgeguarding nonstop just to get a win, rather than to enjoy a good match. Same reason I stopped playing Mario Kart DS almost immediately, because people would snake nonstop to help their score. Fortunately, I'm relatively certain there's no scorekeeper on Brawl's online. Not to imply you only play competitively, but there are those who do.

Professionals don't only play on FD, that's an annoying misconception (often spread by players that aren't even actually very good). (Why does Youtube not display my responses properly?? Curses; so annoying it is!) Anyways, it's annoying to me when players who don't compete go online and insult great players who they've never met or interacted with. Instead they get poor impressions of tournament goers from rude players who aren't even that good, and assume all tournament players are that way.
