Yes, agreed. This cartoon is mediocre and overrated compared to far far better musical shorts, like "Rabbit of Seville", "Three Little Bops", "Corny Concerto"... the list goes on forever. There are 3 cartoons which has a really overinflated and mostly undeserved popularity. The other two being "Duck amuck" and "Duck dodgers in the 24 1/2-th century". Neither of them are BAD, but they are simply not good enough. Casual watchers worship them because they never seen real gems...

Sorry, but I think it's maybe the most overrated Chuck Jones cartoon ever. Startling visuals, sure; but barely any LAFFS! (Unless Wagner fans have super-human senses of humour, which is ludicrous.) Plus, it's jarring to hear Arthur Q. Bryan replaced by Mel Blanc for a single word - evidentally, Bryan didn't have the lungs to yell "SMOGGG!" Gimme "Rabbit of Seville" anyday: WAY funnier gags and libretto, and a better, pithier punchline. And the music is better, too. Just my $0.02.

I have read extensively on Doc Holiday. He was just as exciting as Val Kilmers version. And good-looking! Why would I hate him? He was from a good southern family but ill with TB. lol, there is tremendously more gun-related crimes in the US, than in Canada, where we have restrictions on gun use....proportionately, we actually don't have that many fewer guns per household than the US does; the difference is, we don't let someone grab a gun over the counter without a background check!! We don't led people carry guns on them as a right; We don't permit gun-lovers to buy semi-automatic weapons, ridiculously high-powered rifles; certain types of ammunition; etc.

Why does that matter? Anyways, there were actually a few white guys involved in the formation of blues music that didn't get their fame. Blues music derived partly from people involved in the prostitution business, and there were several white blues musicians that came from this. Often it's difficult for white blues musicians to get their due as it isn't seen as "their music", and many of them contributed more to folk music than blues. But give all good blues musicians respect and apreciation!

Doc Scott is awesome. Thanks for posting this, I love the intensity and simplicity of his tracks, he has made so many classic tunes. 'Unofficial Ghost' and 'Shadow Boxing' are his other most notables. If it's still out there try and get Artcore 2 from about 1995. It's mixed by Doc Scott and is absolutely awesome. Contains this track and other classics like 'Circles' all seamlessly mixed. My other favourite drum and bass compilation is of coures 'Logical Progression'. Cheers.

There are so many ppl that dont even know about Doc Scott anymore. I have seen many djs AndyC,Groove,EdnOptical,Konflict,Dom,Dylan, Bai . I have seen Doc 4 times here in NZ & he was magic. The best night of my life was spent listening to him for over 4 hours when he was basically TOLD to finish up. There is MAD new dnb out there, dont get me wrong but he has given me memories that I will NEVER forget. His mixing was seamless and his track selection! F*CK ME! ABSOLUTE MAXIMUM RESPECT. My Age-29
