Sorry [cwalker4life]... I went 2 Anglia 2 study Graphic's, so I kno nothing about Cambridge Uni or anything about Computer Science courses. But with the NUS card u can go 2 any music/club event [ETC] from any uni and the nightlife and everything about Cambridge is GREAT! The cost of living is OK, tho u may need a part-time job depending on wat course u do [ie: some courses require u 2 spend more on books and materials than others]!!! A TRULY MEMORABLE EXPERIENCE [especially as a student].

I agree with everyone who's said the semitones between the soprano and alto is outstanding. And the Herod verse is absolutely chilling. I'm also very intrigued by the use of the natural 7th, rather than the leading tone, at the end of the phrases right before "by by lully lullay". Well, I guess it depends on your definition of "lie". Mine, in this case, is the perpetration of a deliberate deception, whether verbal or non-verbal. So, by my definition, the dog lies. How do you know lying is a human concept? According to W, if you were to have a conversation with the dog, you wouldn't understand him, even if he were to tell you all about lying :) I'll bet, if we were to consult some primate researchers, they could come up with examples of lying through language by apes.

So I tend to disagree with Witters concerning the inability to discern what a lion is saying. Let's take a dog in lieu of a lion. I thought that the system worked really well this year after crashing last year. There were three of us queueing online and we all got through with no problems and got camping at Cherry Hinton. 281 hours til we are there on the thursday morning, yeeeehhhhaaaaaaa!!!!!! wahoo!!!! i love cambridge folk festival, 22nd one for me this year rock n roll!!!!! I'll be dancing all day for 4 days, it is very chilled though i agree even though it is commercialised now it is still the original folk music home of mine, hope you are all going i'll be the crazy guy with long purple hair come and chat yeeehhhaaaaaa! (shout that lots too) Peace and Love all the way!!

Yep I was there when they filmed this and it was so hot and it was early so people pace themselves. Lots of people sit in that tent out of the sun early on, by evening there's no one sitting and everyone's on their feet. It was a great set and we were on our feet dancing with our little ones. (Just hoping for more of this mellow sun time this year!) Cheers, Lesley
