There is NO Baptism formula prescribed by scripture. The is no scripture that states what must be said. Even the scripture Jesus says to Baptise people in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy spirit doesn't mean that's what you're supposed to say. The understanding is that when the disciples say repent and be baptized in the Name of Jesus. That's a command to be baptized, by the authority of Jesus. It doesn't mean you have to say anything when you do it!

i really liked it when it changed from b&w to color at the point of baptism. It really is like that when a person gets saved and baptised. the world changes forever into a wonderfully beautiful place, but its still cold and wet sometimes. But once your saved you have the SON to warm and dry you!

I cant believe that she has the right to determine this. Her job isnt to push her opinions on people and I think she shouldnt stuck her nose in it. It should be left to the parent who has legal custody to decided ultamitley. I think the parents should be adults and work this out, may be even come to the conclusion to have her wait untill she says she wants to be baptised. The judge is a human being.... a bitch to go on and on over her "personal" views; but in the end I would have to agree that since there is disagreement between parents, that 8 is too young. Even in a convert household, I think 8 is too young; but in a solid, 2-parent family or family all in agreement and continues to raise the child in the same religion, then 8 is certainly fine. Divorce or conversion = should be 12. My opinion.

In fact, the Lamb was slain before the foundation of the world - before baptism even existed. You are adding your own rules to Christ's finished work. True - The theif on the cross wasn't "Baptised." In short, the story of the three crosses is easy. The theif picks up on who Jesus is, acknowleges who he is, accepts who he is. Actually, I do have the authority to dispute the validity of your baptism. It's not consistent with the scriptural account. Baptism is not a ritual. It is not an outward response to an inward change. Baptism is the point where the blood of Jesus is applied. But, being a baptist as you are, you are not taught that.
