Weissburg took credit for it resulting in the lawsuit which Reno won Don Reno and Arthur "Guitar Boogie" Smith wrote and recorded the song in 1955. I still have the old 78RPM recording. Kanakotka. Not "forever". 1955. It`s copywrited. Google it. Machenga. My goodness. Such mature language. Didn`t your mommy ever wash your mouth out with soap? Get help.

Yes there was another boy, i have the special edition on dvd with the commentary. Billy Redden was doin the strumming and there was another boy behind him doin the chord movements. Whilst neither of them was actually playing they had to make it look like he could play... Eric weissberg and steve mandel were the artists who actually played the tune for the movie..

Actually the kid very much played the tune, he's currently the best banjo player in the world. And no one really wrote the tune, as that particular tune has been around forever, it had only been improvised upon.

Good movie but the music was phony. Neither actor was playing his instrument. Don Reno wrote the tune but another fellow claimed to have done so in the credits. As I understand it the producers were sued and I think old Don got a pretty good retirement out of it. There was no "other kid". The tune was dubbed.

I've had a banjo for a couple of years, worked out how to do some fingerpicking, can play a few tunes, but never really learnt to play it. Then I decided it might be about time I did learn. I found some very clunky, awkward lessons on youtube, but then this. Marvellous stuff. I'll be starting again from the very beginning.

Thanks, I have been playing guitar since 1970. A few years ago I bought a Johnson JB-080 banjo after playing my brother-in laws banjo in the blues style. I have been playing open G tuning blues slide guitar for years. Like you, I really love pre war blues (and every other kind of blues).So any way, I will be taking some time to learn the frailing style properly. Thanks !!

um actually many have stopped playing those.brawl though fun was not much improvement from melee so it was considered a disappointment I mean I liked it but I got tired way to fast. and mario kart wii though fun doesn't have the constant replayibility to it. both are fun but still after that no one is waiting for anything in nintendo which kinda made me dislike it a bit that they could not announce anything for e3 that sounded worth playing
