i agree with ya but i think that it was unfair they used a 600 rr if they used a fireblade (1000cc) then jeremy wouldn't had a chance the car and bike = 130(ish) mph but with the 1000cc you would have 180mph (maybe more) by thye way jeremy hates bikes

Also, I'm quick to point out that the British version requires 110 octane race fuel, which would be cheaper to acquire a type of aviation fuel rather than use an assload of octane boosters. The GM ecotec engine just takes regular gasoline, much more practical.

i dunno what the point of even bringing F1(or cup car) engines into this discussion is, we are talking about 2 4 cylinder 16v economy car(albeit quick ones) engines, nascar still uses v8's based on the gen1 small block, and formula one engines dont even have camshafts anymore.. i guess i could ask, if the honda engine is so perfect, why does ariel need to add a supercharger to it?

It's true the Honda engine shares no common parts with the F1 racer, but a 747 shares no parts with an F-22 Raptor, but the technology certainly passes on. If the EEK o Tech is so good why didn't Ariel use them to start with? Why does Caterham use Toyota engines and not GM parts? As far as the Cobalt SS being faster than the Civic Type R, I'm sure Honda would gladly put their F1 car up against any Chevy stock car in a race of acceleration, cornering or braking and even GASP! top speed.

I don't get the antipathy that so many Floyd fans give to one another, it is a sorry but simple story. In the early years Barrett was the major influence. The late 60s and early 70s they were quite an egalitarian band. By the late 70s Roger was hugely in control, to the point that Rick was literally and creatively thrown out. But was what distinctive about the Floyd, a great musician who made that texture which to hardcore fans is the very essence of the Floyd.

Roger was the lyricist and nothing more. Wright and Gilmour made the sound of Floyd most of all.Roger couldve been replaced by a million bassists,but Gilmour and Wright could never be replaced.And Gilmour and Wright were the dstronger vocalists in the band by far.Listen to Shine On,Echoes,Us and Them,and you will get the picture really quick that Waters was a sort of weak link in the Floyd chain after awhile.He was a controlling asshole that didnt get the idea of a band.He liked dictating though

Must of been pretty hard for Roger, considering he is tone Deaf, and needs someone to tune his bass, Richard ( RIP ) Used to do it before he had a hired tech. Yet he had a creative mind. Yeah. I was there on the 14th. It was something special even without Dave. The folks at Cadogan Hall were being VERY strict with people taking photos and video. During the performance there were a couple of people comming round and even walking into the seated audience to stop folks taking photos and video. Does anyone know if there is a full video of the 14th or 15th performance at Cadogan Hall available...?

Really? That's actually a pretty decent test then, but in regards to the 1000cc... It's a more accurate test. 600's are known for their ability to turn easy, 1000's are known for their ability to turn easy and haul complete, unadulterated ass. A 1000 would beat an atom, I'm almost sure of it. And for only a few grand extra, it really is the better bike.
