It's spring again and we are getting some migrating hummers. I am concerned though because there seem to be less of them every year. What's happening to the hummers?

This little male hummingbird is an enigma to me. I can't decide if he's a hybrid between an Allen's and a Blackchinned or if he's a variant of a Blackchinned. A hybrid seems unlikely because of their differences in temperament yet he possesses qualities of both species. This is his second year here.
