Why's everyone getting uptight about my 'Why punk started' theory. I love all sorts of music but I'd much rather listen to Genesis and ELP nowadays than Sex Pistols and the Clash. While pub rock might have been a target (at least for the British punk bands), the latter two bands or mainly the more complex rock forms that came after them, punk definitely sought to destroy. 76-77 Punk Rock was all about a return to Chuck Berry, Elvis and minimal song structure. Punk Rock had everything to do with Genesis and other Prog bands. The actual irony for punk was that it hit mainstream appeal in Britain and was no longer cutting edge/"rebellious" anymore.

JoshDone - I was in a punk band in 77. Punk at the time was against Elvis, Beatles and the Rolling Stones - nothing to do with Genesis. Listen to the energy - the early 70s was very similar to punk. Punk happened in 76 to get rid of pub rock - Clancy, Cado Belle, Moon etc. Good bands but they were never gonna make it - that's why punk broke through. It was supposed to make playing in pubs fashionable but the irony of it was that it killed the pub bands.

they made a lot of sequals to ff7 because it was the greatest single player game of all time, longest and most intensive rpg, not to meantion when you spend that much time playing you get attached to the characters... ff8 is short as shit, i beat it in one day playing from 8am to 11pm, ff7 took me a combined time of about 90 hours doing every side mission and optional thing

Talent is talent. Look at Elton John. I had a great high school friend that died of aids. Very early before any treatment. He was a great friend. He did not know about him. Was really nice.
