There isn't much I like about the BBC, but Doctor Who is their one saving grace. Great clips of Doctor Who.

Yeah, the effects were on a par with Space 1999 (only not as advanced). The only consolation is that it was a children's show and the producers therefore weren't that concerned about how convincing the effects looked... and they had a tiny budget. The budget isn't really a good excuse, since they could have avoided looking really dodgy with a little creative editing, but as I say, they didn't have an overwhelming reason to care.
