Maybe you could go to Dollywood and film him again? I know a lot of his fans would enjoy the video. To bad that Tom, his brother, is not singing with him.

This is a nice clear video of Jim's performance and his band. Everyone get together and let's talk Jim into making another cd. Country singer and songwriter of his caliber you don't find every day. Great job Jim...keep going!

In a recent email from Jim Glaser, he said: "My keyboard player at that time, and on that video, was Ray Cobb. His name was really Cecil Ray Cobb, but our band was the only ones who call him Cecil. Great keyboard player, great singer, great guitar player. And a great loss."

Great clip... Thank you. I had the pleasure of seeing Jim live back in the 80's. A wonderful talent.

The Glaser Brothers sang back up for Marty Robbins at one time. So its natural that Jim Glaser would do a medley of Marty Robbins songs.

JacobsOompa - the video of Jim that I posted (with the Marty Robbins medley) appeared on one of those channels that Sky pushed out in the UK. I was living in Spain at the time and just happened to see it one night when I was visiting a friend on Teesside. Others on the show included Billie Jo Spears, Hoyt Axton, Bill Anderson, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Lynn Anderson and a few others. Oh yes, and Billy Walker. The show was titled "Country In Europe" or simlar.

WOW! That sure brings back memories of Marty Robbins. He was also another of my favorites during the 1960s. One of my all-time favorites is "Honky Tonk Man" that he did for the Clint Eastwood movie of the same title. I still have that cassette album also.

Jim Glaser wrote these songs or had a hand in the writing of them, including El Paso and Woman by Gary Puckett and the Union Gap... Saw him at Dollywood a few concert..Little White haired man....Beautiful voice, didn't miss a note...

I gave this 5 stars, but I feel you would get even more 'hits' if you had said 'Marty Robbins medley' instead of 'medley of country music classics.' Nevertheless, a great video and thanks for posting it.

The guy on piano is Ray. I could look up his last name. I was president of Jim's International Fan Club in the late 80's and published his newsletter. He is awesome!
By: twoteles. on 24 Dec 07, 20:34:53
No, it is not Milsap on piano. It certainly looks like him. Jim Glaser did tell me his name but I just forget it at the moment. Sadly, the piano player is no longer with us.

The only videos I have is the one above - and the Glaser Brothers medley from Wembley. Jim has links to both from his own website which is nice!

Do you have any videos of Jim singing his own songs like "When You're Not A Lady" and "You're Gettin' To Me Again"?
By: twoteles. on 21 Jul 07, 00:45:32
Jim is still playing gigs, thankfully. Check out his website. Chuck is ill, sadly, and Tompall is recording quite a few sacred songs these days.
