Hey man was up?? FYI I meant the metrolink in STL not KS. That is where I caught the BNSF mix-Freight. Kansas has no Metro link!!! Great video. I am really close to have a few videos on. Well I think?? My friend's computer is better than mine so I have to do it on it. That reporter reminds me of John Edwards. The whole "say anything; they'll just accept it" mindset. At 3:58 he says that point of impact was from the knuckle. But if you pause it at 5:01, you can clearly see that's impossible. Watching the impact (eg, at 5:52 or 5:55) also shows there's no way that was the knuckle.

I don't know that I'd say that if there were people in that car they would have had NO chance. If they were buckled up and the vehicle were equipped with airbags, I'd say they would be seriously injured, but they might survive. Of course, I'm not volunteering to test that theory! Great video!

Cool. I like this crossing but I never have filmed at it. I hope to in the future. Have been to the Webster Groves Jazz Festival? I was at it last year and saw 15 trains. Mostly at GORE. I should be at it this year filming trains. Mabey I'll see ya? 00:53 is a great shot!! Look for my model HO train videos comming soon. I got good stuff. Again good job!! I will get some crossing videos up soon. Funny thing the Moberly crossings only have the bells ring again when the gates go up, but the Decatur-STL crossings don't do that. You should come to Decatur here in Illinois. We got a lot of neat crossings.

THANKS YAH IT MIGHT BE WEIRD but i like it more bell the bells shouldnt shut off in the first place but ns has them only ring when the gates go down so the mantainer wired the signals wrong on that sub it would be cool if u could get some more vids of thoes crossings i really like ns crossings but there arnt any really cool ones near me and the ones down town are on the north side i have to travel to see a ns crossing in a good area thanks for commenting

That's something similar to the NS Moberly crossings in Decatur. The bells ring, gates go down, bells shut off. Then the gates go up and bells ring again. Some crossings are wired to have bells ringing again after the gates go up.

Well I must say this horn scared me too. Is this a west or Eastbound? I'm filming at the Kirkwood Station this Friday August 8th and I hope to see some good action. I know Al will be there. He works Fridays, Saturdays, and I think thursdays also. I might see you. Who knows because I see a lot of people there. I hope Jason is there too. Do you know this guy who has headphones on and also has a camera bag and usually hangs at the station. I don't know his name though. Al does I think. Great job!!

Great Video!! I call Kansas "BNSF country" because almost every railroad is BNSF's. I love going to Kansas to watch trains. I like going to Ottawa KS. great train watching and you can get great footage there too. All BNSF there and the lights are so easy to see plus there are crossovers and usually a train goes over it. I mostly Film my Model trains which are really cool to see. I'll put them on YouTube soon but I need to get more footage of my NEW AMTRAK!!!! Oh and Crap that is 1 loud horn.WTF

I'm close to West Chicago. I suggest you visit there. While you are there, Rand Road (just a little further down) has a Safetran Type 2 E-bell! No Amtrak use this line. CN is trying to take trains off of here and put them on the EJ&E, but from what I am hearing, the EJ&E is saying no to it.

I heared that sleeper was BNSF's cool. I saw a Frisco coach on Amtrak once. It was about a year ago. I got one picture of it.I also saw a Santa Fe coach about 3 years ago too. It was a six axel. I MIGHT be filming Friday of BNSF or UP which ever comes first. Amtrak does not pay BNSF the peson renting the car pays Amtrak or BNSF or BOTH. The Box car I have no clue about only it might be for KS like for storage from STL or something. I'm the train EXPERT in my Family but I don't know about this.

The sleeper was a private car, either deadheading to Kansas City or being used to transport the owner, who would have paid Amtrak for the ride on the back of their train. Sleepers don't run in revenue service between STL and KC. The boxcar was an Amtrak Express car. In the two years I lived in Kirkwood, I never saw anything but coaches on an Amtrak train. Thanks.

Cool, nice, I also noticed caboose action on Part 3, that was cool, don;t see that anymore. I saw someone almost get hit by one of those before it was reversing on a slab train and you can barely hear those horns, no crossing lights activated, though events like those are rare, you need extreme caution at a crossing, lights or no lights.
