hey. I'm 16 and i have to do a sociology report on a song that describes stratification...thanks for your comments it helped me a lot. i've come to the conclusion that even though this song was written in the 70s it STILL describes us now. we've gotten worse by REPEATING ourselves. wars, downfall of economic structure and everyone always wanting more. the monster isnt JUST the government or the people. its the money!

After the last 8 years of George Bush and Dick Cheney I know the monster is...it is not Barack Obama, it is the republican party. The democrats are far from perfect but the republicans are the party which believes in wars of aggression, inequality and is all for spying on its own people. They are taking away our freedom in the name of protecting it. Just my opinion...
