My £1 eBay Telecaster copy actually sounds Vintage! Posted by: snotmale

Is it just me or does this not sound too dissimilar to a Vintage '58 Tele through a classic Fender amp???!!! Seriously, it has those identifiable classic vintage Tele sounds!! alba guitars are very well made for the price , I have a les paul made by alba and its very good quality , better than any other copy les paul i have played

nice guitar,sounds fab, but i got the harrier tele from Ebay..strings through body, ashtray bridge, vintage f shape headstock.had problem with sound but was lousy strings.replaced them and WOW!.cannot be faulted.been playing 30 years,had them all but for £49 it cannot be beat,end of.may post a vid some time.

It was marked as Alba. I also bought a Statocaster model from them too recently and this has no headstock marking but was identical to a STRAT I got a while back fronm them for a friend that did have the ALBA mark. As a note: The Strat is very close to my original '73 ender in proportions and plays as well... sounds are not identical, but complimentary. Gives me more tonal options and looks cool in it's White 'Hendrix style' vibe! £46.50 that one.

no, it is my playing - it was my first Youtube video and I had no idea what to play and was nervous! But yes some attention to the intonation has been necessary, but it still sounds fantastic through any amp or pedals - it was the best guitar for all round tone I have ever bought!

Whether it is out of tune or has a huge intonation problem, that's why it was probably sold for 1 pound. Looks nice I agree but that's it. Still nice decoration for the wall isn't it :D

..mine wasn't on this, but I bought a Strat from same company and that was. I removed the decal easily and cleanly in only a few mins with some thinners, a few cotton buds and when lacquer dry/hard ~ 30 mins) lighlty burnished the area with brass polish and soft cloth. No sign remains.

I just posted the In your garden video. The guitar I'm using there is a black Alba Tele I paid forty quid for. I'm using it for the clean lead on the track. You've normally gotta pay big bucks for a tone like that, and apart from the name it's the coolest looking guitar on the planet!

i got mine 2nd hand for £33 off ebay - just keep looking. it sounds amazing for the money, the pickups are really excellent.
