it is vapid. mind you there's a lot of music outthere that's, well, crap as you say. I like reggae and even some of the new stuff is poor. As for this well I'll give it a miss.

i just can't help to find that david bowie is the boring one here... he sings with no feelings.. he just looks like an old man, with something up his ... the one where the arcade fire sing the song themselves, is far more touching

Indeed. The music plays a major part in it as well, but I doubt it would be very epic if he were singing about bling and bitches perhaps. Either way it's a matter of opinion sir. I respect that you don't like this song, yet looking back at the posts, you seem to have posted quite a few times for someone who hates the song. Fair enough coming across it by accident then finding you don't like it and posting once, but what is the point of shoving your opinion down others throats repeatedly?

Actually I just listened to this again, and I change my mind. I was way too polite in the last post. This song is fucking boring as hell in every regard, and if you want to get caught up in the orchestra, Bowie's presence, whatever, then that's fine, but when all is said and done this is just a crap song.

Don't get me wrong. I've loved Bowie's stuff for many years, and if these guys are getting the likes of Bono, Springsteen, and Bowie up on stage with them...then I must be missing something. I've listened to about 10 A.F. tracks a bunch of times, but they don't do much for me. This particular "production" or "epic" as some would call it, seems a bit self-indulgent, self-important and other words with "self" in the beginning.
