Hummingbird Moth

We argued whether it was a small hummingbird, or a moth- the score is final! It is a moth- the full name is Snowberry Clearwing Moth. I understand they are a type of daytime sphinx moth- they disguise themselves as hummingbirds to evade predators.

I wondered if you were a family member to Bamboleo...if this was the same famous "Bing". So sorry he is gone...what a cute little guy. Little kids say what's on their mind at the moment, don't they ? It's neat you did a funeral...we've done that for everything from hermit crabs on up to hamsters...thankfully our piggies are still here !

He actually asked me not to keep that comment in the video. But I left it in just to show how much he loved the Pigs- he was crying when he said it, and still cries for his little friends. Although Bing became famous because of the care and artistry of my amazing sister, it was the little boy who would 'dig them up' that found Bing as a baby, and raised him for a year. We all still miss Bing! Thanks for your note :)

Jeremiah is the sweetest little kid I know- he still cries and says it is the saddest day of his life. I think it was his way of not crying during the prayer. He did cry the rest of the day, and many days since.
