I took the tour a few weeks ago...what an incredible place. One of my friends said it reminded him of NASA, which I thought was a good analogy. Naturally, we were not allowed to bring in cameras, so I was very glad to see this. Will have to send the link to my car buddies. The problem with the smart car is not the rigidity and crumple zones, its the mass, or lack thereof... you hit anything with substantially greater mass and the g-shock is going to be far greater in the Smartcar... that is what would kill you. The lack of large crumple zones to dissapate energy (relying more on the rigidity of the shell) makes matters worse. At least they point this out in the video.

Wow, interesting to see that Motorweek hasn't changed much over the years. Have to note that John Davis used to be a lot more restrained. He hams it up a bit more now. Not that it's a bad thing. Anyway, I lusted after the Corrado for many years so it's nice to see this report on a classic car (in my opinion). Wish I had got one! It's performance still compares favorably with many cars today. And the 108-foot stopping distance is fantastic! Too bad VW isn't bringing the new Sirocco to the USA.

Got to disagree there... 1st & 2nd gears 0-60 lag. I've got one. Just wakes up after 3rd and before you know it your doing 80 - 90... oops time to change gear. Just needs more revs than I think down the gears from stand still - so I'm gonna fit a Rotrex and watch the fuel gauge literally move in opposite direction to the oil temp next to it!

-programable engine management(megasquir t)
-suzuki GSXR 650 throttle bodies
-porsche 944 aluminum lower control arms
-1.8L engine, ported and polished head, 288 degree cam, 12:1 compression ratio
-over 150hp @ the wheels naturally asperated

Adjust fuel pump main fuel screw is the easiest, will get a little smokey, but diesels run best that way, use more fuel flat out but can pull higher gears at lower speeds.

R those bodies off a motorbike? Would they not fit without the bend or did u purposefully want a tuned intake of that length? Genius, suppose it may be easier to adjust with a computer than carbs aswell?
