it's not an AEM it's a password:JDM carbon fiber powerchamber intake and it gives it 18.1hp not 20hp like I said

I don't think you going to get 20hp from just a filter to be honest. AEM say 15-18 hp with the one I have but it's more like 4 hp max!

I wouldn't bother with that then, try a AEM with a cold air feed like mine, use the original location for the air intake "cold air feed" and wet days should not be a problem!

the intake head goes where the battery is at. but the intake is to fat so the battery needs to be mounted somewhere else

Good cars, nothing on the road at the mo I would like more without spending loads. New civic not as nice so sticking with mine. Filter gives a bit of extra power but not that much, it's more the sound to be honest. I would make sure you feed it with cold air if and when you get one ! Second gear spins are great, until you need new tyres that is ! Safe driving.

Had my ep3 CTR for about a month now. Nice to see it's not just me that gets wild spinning in 1st and 2nd! Can't afford the insurance for a filter for it yet, but got a 57i on the wife's 2.0 ev1 Type S so'll have to put up with that when I want a noise fix!

Well I don't no the math to work out the gains on my car per degree c decrease in temp, but the tests I done showed on a 6 degree c day intake temp went up to almost 30c traverling at 50 mph. With that amount of air moving under the bonnet that was a suprise. With this fitted the temp has never gone 8c "normally 5c" above ambient. So it has to make a small performance gain.

On the video it looks like you have completely seal the air filter! Anyway still don't think that warmer air would make that much of a difference on a natural aspirated engine. But if that is the case, just increase the fuel pressure a little! Anyway remap the motor and then YA FEEL THE POWER.

1st, It does matter how cold the air as it will have more oxygen in it as it is more dens, thats why turbo cars have intercoolers. 2nd, As the shield has an open back to it and not tight around the filter it does not restrict it at all, it just feed's cold air over and around the filter. SO in short your wrong. O and you do get a small gain over the standard Honda air box

In short yes, the AEM sounds nice and does give a gain in power. I done some tests on intake temps, on a 6 c day the intake was 27 c @ 50 mph, not good. With the cold air feed and sheild fitted it was reduced to 10/11 c. This will give you a increase in power. And in the summer this will be needed even more.
