There may be some fakes around but I trained with a master who regularly uses energy like the guy in the video. Hard to believe, yes I was sceptical at first but after 13 years I know he can put people on the floor without touching them. The reason their feet don't move much is because every WC practitioner is taught "root". Without it your punches have NO POWER. Its a system of shifting your entire body weight into a punch. WC doesn't move much because it doesn't HAVE TO! Its like having to move a tree or your mom.

When I say rehearsed, I mean that it was a premeditated attack. That quote is from bruce lee. Bruce lee doesnt do 'premeditated' demonstrations like what you saw in this video. He does contact sparring with his students since in a real fight, he believes its things are unpredictable (broken rhythm).

great speed!!! for those who say this isn't practical or this is ridiculous, ask yourselves this. how many throat chops or eyes gouges can you handle in 7 seconds before you lose the fight? better wear a helmet if you're out there fighting a good wing chun practitioner. wing chun is always for close range combats that should last no longer than 7 seconds.

Listen here, the reason most fighters get knocked out is because of the DISTANCE FACTOR. Whoever can control their distance better (which takes into account: timing and precision) WINS. Focus on Martial Arts should be rooting, footwork, power,speed.ofcourse these are the traits of stand-up fighting, but you also have to be well versed and have some ground techniques and defenses as well, if not that, you gotta train for a good take down defense, simple as that. Oh, and distance is very important,if you watch fighters like chuck lidell for instance,you will never see him coming up so close in punching range, its usually full range or the clinch, thats the way it should be.

Your both wrong. The purpose is POWER. Wing Chung focuses too much on speed and not enough on power. Those are very fast punches but nobody (including me) will allow you to utilize those, there is just no way.
