for being a nirvana "frik" you dont know much about his gear.That was a moddified 1993 Fender Mustang Made in Japan,it had a tune-o-matic bridge 500k pots and a Seymour Duncan JB Humbucker in the bridge pickup position and a locked down tail piece.The Jag-Stang was not given to him until early 1994 and was only used during a few shows in the European In Utero tour.

actually the neck is an exact replica of his famed 1965 sunburst Jaguar,Mustang necks are a little(very little) bit wider than that of a Jaguar.I have a Jag-Stang.its got a dimarzio H3 humbucker and a fender custom shop 59-61 single coil.I still think they should have made them with a high output Mustang single coil Duncan JB humbucker and tune-o-matic bridge,but its still an amazingly bad ass guitar.

Bleech is their first album which is very heavy duty grunge and it was made on a budget of $700. Nevermind is their second album which had most of their hits on it like, Teen Spirit, Lithium, Come as you are, In Bloom etc - probably one of the greatest rock albums ever. My fav is In Utero, which is a lot heavier than Nevermind and I reckon its their best work. U might also wanna try their unplugged performence at MTV, a really good listen.

I like Nirvana, and to some Nirvana may be the best band ever, but there are so many other bands not taken into account. Tool, APC, The Doors, Black Sabbath, NIN, Radiohead, Stevie Nicks. I don't think there is a "best" band. But Nirvana is definitely up there with my favorites.

I just hate it when I say hey check out this cool NIrvana song, and people start saying, "Yah, his music is cool", Nirvana wasn't a whole band? No one notices how their sound changed when Chad was fired. Their sound always changes when someone new joins.
