Lots of people expressed their sympathies and wished me well, but I didn't have in me what it took to comment. It's been a year and a half, and I still have not replied... When someone never comments back to anyone, it makes you wonder if they even read the comments. If I see someone's video with hundreds of comments, but no replies, I don't usually bother leaving a comment - it just seems futile....I'm just amazed that so many people still do. I'm also surprised how some of these big channels get so many subs - perhaps popularity in itself creates a momentum.... people sub because it's so popular - so it must be good!!

I don't have a dog but dogs (especially male dogs) like to mark their territory by urinating on everything. That stuff you put around your bushes should help discourage dogs from doing that since they smell where they pissed earlier. You are absolutly right that dog owners should not let their dogs piss wherever they please. Personally, I believe if you own a dog a fenced in yard or electronic fence would be much better than what that guy does. And, of course, proper training.

Is this something you feel strongly about? LOL I've never owned dogs, I have a cat, she's aloof and only shows affection when it's convenient to her, but she cleans up her own crap and we didn't even have to teach her. And I agree, it's not the dogs who are the problem, it's irresponsible, inconsiderate owners. We once had neighbors who had a pitbull and it would run into our yard and growl at our kids when they were little. And they were so stupid they couldn't see that this was a problem.

We adopted a mature dalmation. We were her 4th home. Cesar Millan taught us some great handling techniques in a very short time through his TV program. They really work! When my oldest son was around 2, we lived in an apartment complex that allowed dogs. We didn't have a dog, but a neighbor a few doors down did. The dog used to crap under our dining room window. We had to clean dog crap off of our son's shoes more than once.

I've always been impressed with the fact that you do take the time to reply to people. Even if it's just with one word, you're saying "yes I've read your comment and thanks for stopping by" - which makes you feel it was worthwhile making the comment. And for the bigwig channels even if they just make the odd comment every so often "thanks everyone for all your comments etc etc" - it would at least show that they are engaged with their viewers and are reading the comments

Very cool, I love hiking too, we're really not so far apart, I am in the Southern California Mountains a lot. Basicallyw e're in teh dessert, but it is a big Oasis becasu eof all the irrigation. It is awesome! Eating cactus can be really good, in August, when they have fruits... and watch out for those rattlers! Wow I've never seen one of those memorials, I love those rainclouds when they are coming to the Dry lands, man!! Unlike our wetlands homecountry Holland, lol!!
