I think the genius of the man and really his music is that he can make simplicity so magnificent. Neil Young to me is the greatest songwriter of all time and if anything...if you have any sense you would have to put him top 10 at the least. My point though is that this song really isn't difficult to play, it's the fact he can make such a simple song musically with his harmonica, lyrics, and voice so magical. THAT is the genius of Neil Young.

I dunno if I would agree with that list exactly. I like Tom Waits and Leonard Cohen, but anything CREAM OF THE CROP would be: Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Van Morrison, Lennon/Mccartney, and Jagger/Richardson...but that's just my opinion.

whats is all this cobblers about who is better than who?there are 4 guys who have come up with the greatest music EVER in the last 40 years .BOB DYLAN,NEIL YOUNG,LEONARD COHEN and TOM WAITS and each of these cats have messed up at times but when they're on the top of their game,they're otherworldly,beautiful,life-changing,heartbreaking,inspirational and even when they're not at their best,they're still better than 99% of the horseshit thats about today....( phew its hot in here)

i like 'sense a change' better it is MODERN! these guys are all old men now. i love them and the music but we need a songwriter now who can reflect OUR feelings. this new guy chris aliano could be the future

what a great song. you kind of forget how amazing songs like this are when the radio station way over plays them... its sucks. the radio really knows how to ruin things.... or i should say Clear Channel Communications. I cant even listen to Stairway to Heaven or Purple Haze anymore... its sad really.
