At MIT we would watch "AN Inconvenient Truth" as a comedy. We would laugh our ass off with (big AL) trying to stumble through data that was not his ..nor does he comprehend the dynamic involved. For someone to put himself up in this venue without first reshearching the science..is a complete idiot. That's what your seeing.. Anyone interested less in refereeing YouTube arguing than in understanding the evidence underlying warming driven by CO2 and other carbon emissions can find details in the literature (GRL, JGR, PNAS, J. Climate, etc.), but can also Google web sources as a start - "Global Warming" for a wikipedia overview plus references, "Greenhouse Effect" for basic physics, "Climate Book" for a mathematicaly rigorous analysis, and "Lean Rind 2008" for a recent paper with model-independent confirmatory data.

All climate monitoring, including the satellite MSU data, show resumption of warming following the temporary La Nina cooling of earlier this year. The pattern is typical of the ups and downs frequently seen during the past decades of CO2-driven warming. The science literature universally recognizes warming driven by anthropogenic CO2 emissions, based on extensive evidence readers will find there (in GRL, J. Climate, PNAS, Nat. Geosci., etc.) - all challenges emanate outside the literature. From a practical viewpoint, the world has moved past arguing this point, and is focused on mitigation - how to reduce CO2. It seems to me that if we want our voices to be heard, we would best address the "how to" issue rather than arguing it's not necessary.

Al Gore says that there is a trend towards shrinking. See, managed to say all the BS you garbled out in just one line, and importantly, in a way which made a whole heap more sense. Point to one scientific study which demonstrates your position. I could show you countless such studies which support the fact that the world needs to quit putting 4 billion years worth of stored energy into the atmosphere in a few decades.

The anti global warming campaign have big meetings with many delegates. They give themselves fancy titles like environmental expert. And yet next to no scientists attend them. the majority of attendees are from industries which burn fossil fuels or have interests in deforestation. The scientists issue countless statements and produce literature which show the connection between C02 and warming. Groups like heartland are merely lobby groups for the oil industry.

Mt. Shasta glacier growing. Al Gore said glaciers have been shrinking and will continue to shrink. Al Gore is wrong. I know, I know, now Al Gore says growing glaciers are part of his predictions even though that wasn't originally part of his predictions. Al Gore says glaciers will shrink. Al Gore says glaciers will grow. Al Gore will say his global warming will do to glaciers whatever they happen to be doing at any given moment. Science has nothing to do with Al Gore's global warming.

Glaciers do not take up ocean space but they will and are starting too. This is a bit biased as Mars warmed as well in last decade dramatically, ozone or a heating sun may be beyond sciences control.

In a paper co-written with Dr. Douglass, he concludes that while manmade emissions may be having a slight impact, variations in global temperatures since 1978 cannot be attributed to carbon dioxide.
