Thanks for all the views and comments. The chickens were very interesting and pleasant to have around. (well, except maybe for the constant crowing at odd hours). But, alas, they are all gone. The roosters disappeared first and we had the little hen for awhile. She was a sweet creature and so beautiful. We did our best to keep her safe and happy without penning her up. She had a nice place to live while it lasted.

We think they belong to the neighbor behind us. They have a collection of animals. He came after them one night, but either didn't catch them and they hid in the woods, or they re-escaped. Yes, it was raining.

Love the little sounds they make...sounds almost like a kitty meowing. I'm glad they're back (not sure YOU're glad)but they're very entertaining. And look at all the electricity you can save on alarm clocks!
