I went online before I bought the game, and found a guide to the test, so I used what I learned from the guide to manipulate the test so I could get the starter I wanted to be, which is Mudkip. I chose Pikachu as my partner. Now I'm a lv 100 Swampert-the species which can walk along through sandstorms, and with it's Insomnia ability, not be affected by sleep-causing attacks.

Actually, Gary's eevee depends on which Eevee evolution you choose for your eevee when you get it (if you do get/evolve it). If you chose Jolteon, it will be a Flareon. If you chose Flareon, it will be a Vaporeon. If you never evolved your eevee, didn't get it, or chose Vaporeon, it will be a Jolteon.
