Hey since you like realism, have you tried helicopters in the battlefield 2 mod Project Reality? I really recomend you to try this mod, and see bf realism on a extreamly higher level. Project Reality is free, and probaly the best mod to bf2.

actualy there are 2 ways the button which i forgot and theres another way wich is to level the + sign with the parallel line on your screen when you drive the helecopter you have to make them meet and make them level together.

the fact that helicopters dont just have a button labeled "HOVER" I dont think bf2 has them either. If you arent already moving just put you throttle up until your at the height your want, then level the throttle to 30%. as said in the 1st tut ;P

just to hover in 1 spot doesnt take much practice all u needa do is have the heli on no angles just straight in the air not moving simple.

lol i dont paly bf2 but i play warrock wich is like bf and the tips helped me cus i all ways get raped by helis =)
