That's how it seems like doesn't it? The indoctrination through schooling, media etc. works so well on all of us. I strongly believe there is no boundary as soon as you're off.

Yes, the hype machine is at full, annoying blast, particularly when they hit you during the preview part of your movie experience. I too hate that. "Spirited Away" I found a surreal ride, enjoyed it a lot. Have you watched "Akira" or the "Ghost in the Shell" films? These are my favorites in that genre.

Hey! Of course I'm going to watch it. I'm even planning on buying it. I die for films like this. Really. And yes, it's available and it looks awesome. You are right about US films, but it's very hard to fin a good one since every review will tell you "awesome," "2 thumbs up," and all that misleading shit. I greatly suggest you get the Japanese animation movie "Spirited Away." You want a great story with awesome animations? This is the one!

Hey Em, doing ok, hope all is fine with you. Yes, this is certainly a thought-provoking film; I stumbled across it some time ago in a messageboard. Didn't know it was available here in its entirety, tell me what you make of it when you are done watching if you feel like it. There are still US films today that are worth watching though, but I can see how one tires of the generic theater releases.

Hey Chev! How's it going? I'm happy you posted this because I honestly didn't know about this movie. I'm so tired of Hollywood-ish flicks that, even though I have never watched TV or gone to the movies too much, I just don't watch any new movies anymore unless they are foreign (I'm learning French and it helps a lot), or Japanese anime (the best). However, this seems like a great movie. What is it about?
