obviously he's stoned and of course he's influenced countless artists, but do i listen to someone because i think :wow, this guys sounds so... INFLUENTIAL"? hell no, its the music. And the voice is part of that and if all he does is wail mindlessly ruining the rest of whats going on in the song then i dont wanna listen. and he could at least compensate with something interesting instrumentaly, but thats not exactly his strong spot...

Maybe you're too busy to open your eyes, or ears rather, We can all tell his singing isn't great, and he was obviously stoned out of his mind during this perfomance, But if you take the time to try and comprehend his lyrics you might like him as much as we do, or maybe if you knew more about his influences upon other great artists and rock in general.
