No, I hate all real diesels, and most fictional diesels. 7101 (bear), Mavis, and Rusty are the only diesels I like. I hate Salty, Dereck, and all of the new engines, not limited to diesel. Emily sucks (one of the few steam engines I hate, fictional or otherwise), and I wish that she would have been scrapped instead of all of the J70 trams, many pannier tank engines (my favourite engines), all of the Peppercorns, most of the A4s (only Scotsman exists), and many other fine steam engines.

Yes, but those problems can be fixed wih newer designs of steam engines, especially pollution (heated by cleaner means like plutonium, or a different and safer chemical reaction that produces heat and doesn't pollute). Accident-prone is repairable by lowering the centre of gravity, and slow starters is unreparable. I can't love diesels because they abolished our cherished steam engines, causing most to be scrapped, and left us with ugly boxes on wheels that waste diesel fuel, which is expensive.

But you should not discriminate against Diesils though. It isn't their fault really . Steam engines had problems too, slow starters, accident prone(some of them) and they were huge pollution puffers with all that smoke. PLZ love them both

Yes, but most steam has been scrapped, and I'm mad as hell about it. I do want to assist with scrapping diesel, though (I'll even smash those fail-trains personally with my sledgehammer). What I want is a return to steam internationally. Who knows, with the price of oil so high, steam might return, heated by newer means (like plutonium or something).

Things like this happen though. Theres an old saying called nothing last forever. And it's very true my friend. Not all is lost, I like both steam and Diesil. And not all steam is gone, Flying scotsman is here, Green arrow and many others at the NRM. Have u noticed that Diesils are getting scrapped too? Make way for Electric diesils.

I hate British Rail. They scrapped some great steam engines and replaced them with Diesel fail-trains. I think everyone associated with this scrapping should have their ass kicked by Garo Yepremian. They should have at least sold them to the US or Japan.

Apparently all the engines have been to the Works too many times, and have forgotten that the Breakdown Crane needs an engine to move it too, not just Rocky. And Harvey, who CAN move under his own power, was shunned when he first arrived, AGAIN by a very out-of-character Edward

What I'd to know is how this script even made it to production without anyone pointing out that Edward would NEVER act like this. It's like the writer originally had this as a James story, someone said "We've had too many James stories recently. Do us an Edward story instead" and as a result, every instance of the word 'James' was replaced with 'Edward'. It's the only explanation I can think of.

Well to you he may be, but to the other engines, he really is a hero. He was a hard worker, saved Sir Handel(then Falcon) from rolling down a landslide and was the first engine to arrive on the MSR. I think what mostly makes him so special was how he was founded. After the MSR closed, Duke was locked away in a shed for 25 years, he sleept all that time. Then years later people wanted to find him, they found him and was then taken to The Skarloey railway.

Honestly, I hope it works, even if I don't think it's likely. I'd love to think that the next generation of kids would have the opportunity to experience the magic of Tugs. It was such a well-made series, I can't think of anything better for young children to watch. The moral tone of it was very good also, children's programs sometimes tend to play it safe and stay away from the dark side of human nature, or else just portray exaggerated caricatures of 'evil', but Tugs didn't do that.

In fact, I'll go so far as to say that by getting people to remove their uploads, the campaigners are (accidentally) depriving people of the magic of Tugs, which is contrary to their aims. People can see it on Youtube; they can't on a non-existent DVD. I wish the campaign the best, but it would be a minor miracle if they achieve their goal. Thanks for uploading.

I don't think it will affect the campaign much (if at all), people who like Tugs will still buy the DVD if there's a crappy pixelated version on Youtube or not. Besides, realistically, I don't think there is any chance whatsoever of it being released, even if they do figure out who owns it. There's not a big enough fan base, a couple of thousand people would buy it, the company wouldn't recoup its costs.

You know, in my opinion, the way the fast motion footage flows and the over-the-top jolly music which is playing are quite a good combination even though Salty's lighthouse is a complete rip-off of TUGS.

When I first saw this, I thought it was an epsiode from the series. Although the show was American, it also aired in Britain because I come from Eastry, Kent, and remember watching it as a young lad. When there were clips of Jinxed, Quarantine, and Up River (the only episodes I had on video) shown, I talked over them with the original dialouge.
