Short Natural Hair: How to look more Feminine

Although my examples are not as Perfect as i would like them...these are just VERY rough examples of how to feminize ur new short natural do.

Feel that! I transitioned for 15 months (my second time around) and I was till afraid of having short hair, at least compared to the length I was accustomed to. Shoot, I did my 3rd/final cut on 8/31 and I LOVE IT! The only way I would've considered rocking a fro is due to my nappturality. Don't be surprised, when wearing a wet n' go, if ppl ask you if you have a curl/texturizer. *L* It's happened to me a few times. It's hilarious.

yes.. this color of ur hair adds to the perception and look of dry hair.. I have dirty brown hair.. but when I stop perming it it became dark brown.. I suggest honey to hold that shine it.. it helped me tremendously

oh no, what i was trying to depict in my video is that no matter how moisturized my hair feels and is..the color of my hair itself..gives off a dry look. I dyed in black which is better for your hair..and it didn't dry out my hair b/c it just adds color.. BUT, then i tried to dye it BLONDE and my hair is DRY AS DIRT now b/c it lifts my natural color.. i'm going to try henna dye instead..

For dry hair, color is not the best option. Color does tend to dry out the hair more, and for already dry hair, I don't think that would help. My sister dyed her natural hair and it did of course dry her ends the most. I hear a lot from natural hair women that color dry the hair, I don't mean any harm, but I just don't think color will help already dry hair. (I am natural by the way)

try 100% pure shea butter, that is what I use. (it is hard and clumpy). LOL....I messed up my glycerin mix the 1st time as well. I did 4oz. water and 4 oz. glycerin but it was too greasy so now I do 3 oz. glycerin and 5 oz. water w/ a few drops of essential oils. How is the grand poo bar? I use Creme of Nature and it has been working great but I kinda want to try Oyin Handmade. You are rockin your TWA!! GO GIRL!!

i tried the shea butter plus also and when i went to wash my hair there were little silicon balls stuck in my hair. like when you buy a new purse and that little white packet comes in the bottom with those little hard balls in there yeah. i did't like it either.

Pink oil moisturizer has mineral oil. I have 2 bottles. I like it but I'm not sure if I'll use it or not because of the mineral oil. I have so many shampoos with the laurel sulfates in them too. I'll keep them while I'm trying my new products and then maybe I'll give them away to someone.

I also suggest trying to make your own products nothing major just simple stuff like, water,vegetable glycerin & EO (listed previously).As you said your hair dislike too much water so add more glycerin than water. Aloe vera gel(the gel you can drink) is also excellent when mixed with shea butter or jojoba oil & EO is wicked especiially during colder months(if you don't want to alway were protective styles) is does make a great leave-in. I do weekly DC's with Avocado,coconut milk & banana. You

You hair is growing it seems like you suffer from a lot of shrinkage. Many people gain 1/2'' a month in new growth. Depending on the products, you can acheive up to 1''+ new growth by finger combing your hair, using peppermint,rosemary, basil essentail oils in leave-ins (no more that 10 drops of each). Try using Alma oil or powder with seems to work wonders for hair. Also try to use homemade deep conditioners such as hass avocado,strained coconut milk & banana excellent for moisture/softness.

I'm about 4mths natural now..My regimen is Cantu shea butter, jherri curl juice and Olive oil and I am trying out MTG. MTG seems to be working. I cut my fro b/c of the damage from the dye I did..and it has grown back to its original point and more in 1 1/2 wks!!

I am 4 mths post my BC & I was feeling & thinking the same way until .... one evening I was twisting my hair up at night & noticed then that hey -- these twists are longer than usual. But just looking at my twa, it doesnt look like its moved. But my twists show me it has. So let us be patient. When is your 1 yr anniversay? What's your hair regimen??
