Im so angry this movie didnt win an oscar.I agree that Javier Bardem won it cuse his great acting in No Country for Old Men. But was his performance that better than a great Casey Affleck? I doubt that. I also cant believe that this movie didnt win the Best Achievement in Cinematography. There will be Blood is a good movie with great scenes, but i still prefer the sadness of Assassination then the rawness message in Blood. A fan

A brilliant move by either Pitt or Dominick (or both) to have him not blink when the narrator refers to his condition to bring forth the fact that a lot of the things people said about Jesse that became the truth were myths.

i've always seen his voice as more of an indifferent quality. Like he's simply reciting an obituary, which adds to the de-mythification (yea, that was a totaly made up word)) of the movie. He's not telling a tall tale or some epic story, he's just describing the life of a man.

The genius of the line is its counterpoint to the image. Jesse James barely blinks in the film.

I love the narrator. His voice sounds so sad, as if he sees the doom that is laying before us. I see this film becoming a classic in the next couple of decades. Time will do this film justice. :)

The music is different in this clip. There's another excerpt of the opening to this film on YouTube, and in that one, the music is different. The opening piano in this vid is in a higher octive than the other clip...strange...and this one is in fullscreen...

and especially considering you don't appear to know any film terminology at all that was quite comical. adding describing words like 'thriving' and 'fluid' to the front of 'plot' and 'storyline' doesn't make it film terminology, sorry to say. and yes i do know what action is, believe it or not i was making a stupidly exaggerated point about what audiences expect 'action' films to be ... "shooting up 500 people, falling 100 floors" - you get the exaggeration yet?!
