I have the S550 and the 1100IS and the picture quality is really similar, but I do like the stabilization better on the Canon coz it's optical. 5x zoom is pretty damn cool though...

Canon SD1100IS is a better camera, I have had both the Nik and the Canon. The Nikon does have the the 5x zoom which is cool, but go with Canon if you are looking for a camera.

I have a SZ, and a TZ, it really depends on what you want it for, I bought the SZ to play games (which I always longed for) but realized that I do not have the time anymore. So if you are an office user both books will suit you, but you MUST realize that TZ will be laggy with vista and XP(under heavy use ofcourse). TZ is ideal if you are an office user on the go. other than that the small screen may cause strain on your eyes and the keyboard feel a little bit small but not uncomfortable.

I think the ipod is all hype... but really NOT that great. I've never found it easy to use with itunes or the menu. Plus itunes is irritating when it always pops up says "Wanna buy some music??" I've been doing the iPod thing since late 2005 with the 2G iPod Nano. I really DO like my iPod Nano, but have been wanting something less "restrictive." When you can't do or use anything then iTunes, it can get OLD quick. I ordered a 16GB last night and cannot wait. I figured I'd just use the SD card slot for movies and others, and save the internal memory for music. Honestly, I don't know WHO'D want to pay more for the 32GB version.

I had the white and orange 1gb one... the joy stick was cracked halfway when I took it out of the box, but I thought it was part of the design haha; eventually the joy stick broke off, but fortunately I did a straight exchange for another one. This one I've had for only 6 months, it's starting to freeze up once in awhile and the battery life is not very long anymore even if I recharged it to it's fullest (used to handle 3+ days, now only 1 day at full charge)-plus the batteries cant be changed.
