I know!!! The balls on that pilot to dive right in front of the wingman! What a totall wuss that German wingman is. His inexperience cost the lead 109 his life.
By: AthCom. on 07 Sep 08, 20:01:55
BF and ME are both producers of the 109. Bayerische Flugzeugwerke and Messerschmitt, respectively. So, it doesn't matter.

The designation under the German Luftwaffe was BF109, not ME
By: sardosfish. on 19 Aug 08, 10:33:27

By: xUnknownAcex. on 13 Aug 08, 03:16:42
ME109 or BF109 are both correct. The designations of BF and ME are the company under which they were produced under. BF = Bayerische Flugzeugwerke ME = Messerschmitt

By: TehMasta. on 04 Jul 08, 16:58:24
if the wingman did shoot, he would have to be a mighty fine shot, considering he could hit his wingman, once he hits the spit or the spitfire sees he's being fired upon, he could duck out, and the wingman would hit his leader. and if the wingman was inexperienced the shot would of been harder.

Nobody won anything alone. All know The Germans had toughest military at the time.Took 6yrs. and multiple armies to overwhelm one country the size of US Wisconsin. But it only took one Brit. to murder an old man named Hess.

So who won the war anyways?
By: Dragon22873. on 30 Jun 08, 21:43:23
No, but we did shit loads more than the yanks i can tell you that. They DIDNT fight through WW1 and in WW2 the only reason they joined the war is because they were attacked by the japs. If they didnt attk them, plain and simple, that shitty country would still be sitting on its fat cheeseburger eating arse today. *arms open to hate comments btw* *although dont waste ur time cos i wont read em! :D*
By: Dragon22873. on 30 Jun 08, 21:39:05

By: wirikuta14. on 23 Jun 08, 18:24:49
reading the comments I see some ppl saying that the wingman was trying to protect his leader, but in order to protect him he should be flying by his side, so he could see the spit aproaching the leader and turn into the spit, the in line formation they were flying could have have them both killed if the spit pilot would have aproached from behind and shot down the wing man and then the leader, they wouldnt have known what hit them. no fighter pilot would be flying like that.
