I think so, too. Their use of instrumentation sets them apart. In fact, some of thier members recorded an instrumental CD that sold pretty well in Canada. the best advice i can give, i mean i am a beginning drummer, so it may not be right, but what my opinion is just try and listening to just the bass, first or whatever and just tap it out with ur foot, then just gradually add the different drums, i think thats how it works, not to sure though, it is hard for me to fallow beats but if you can then that is the best advice i can give, keep playin man.

Lol the cello they used in the entire in utero tour sounds like that. I really don't like it. I first heard it on a bootleg in about 1995 and I remember thinking it sounded bad. I think maybe they had limited options because a cello isn't audible over a loud rock band, so they had to electrify it and put it through an amp and that is the result I guess.

You don't see all the Nirvana fans rushing out to the net to buy bootlegs over MTV unplugged, or nevermind, In utero, and other albums. True albums will support the band by buying their records. And yeah the more the you buy you actually fund the next NIRVANA or any band release when you BUY official merchandise/ records.
