This guy is the legend. He is one of the best of all times aside of being the youngest Wimbledon champion. He was my idol when I was a teenager back home in Serbia. For all of you who claim that he's ugly: you're just being silly and jealous.. let me know when you're caught with 7 gorgeous chicks in bed! Nothing but respect for this German superstar. You rock Bo! Sie sind das Beste! Voli te Srbija.

Federer does make it look easier than anyone I've ever seen. History is meant to be rewritten though. When Pete broke the Slams record, no one thought Roger was right around the corner. The next great player may be here before we know it.
By: Allaboutthemojo. on 12 Nov 08, 05:14:05
there is a distinct difference when you watch a Sampras or even more so a Federer play the game. Federers technique is so perfect that he makes the game look ridiculously easy and that is something i have not seen any other player do in history period! . right now still at age 27 if he shows any fitness ablility like that of Agassi to play well into his 30's, history can be rewritten in permenant ink this time.
By: Allaboutthemojo. on 12 Nov 08, 05:13:01
I agree with you on the fact that numbers alone don't tell the whole story, therefore i am not considering the number of grandslams alone to rate Sampras and Federer over Becker. Tennis like any other sport is subjective from one viewer to the next. Becker was my favorite player growing up and i followed him right from his Wimbledon victory at age 17.
By: weiserr74. on 12 Nov 08, 00:00:16
Becker's bread and butter was the serve and volley, but he did have an all-court game. So much in fact, causing Sampras to remark that Boris was the best indoor player he ever faced. Based on numbers, it's hard to argue that Boris was greater than Federer or Sampras, but from someone who watched him play from the very beginning, I'm convinced he had an equal, if not better, game. What Boris lacked, that both of these men possessed, was unrelenting focus.
By: karatekid360. on 09 Nov 08, 14:43:29
I wish i could of seen all the old stars play such as, Sampras and Becker.
By: Allaboutthemojo. on 08 Nov 08, 17:27:35
Becker was great, but if you know tennis then you would know that his primary strenght was serve and volley. If you are looking to follow a complete player who has every aspect of the game mastered, there are only two. The retired Pete Sampras and Roger Federer ( history in the making)
By: Allaboutthemojo. on 08 Nov 08, 17:21:14
Beckers strenght was his serve and volley game. At the time when he played and even if compared to modern greats of the likes of Federer, when it comes to serves he is at the top of the list. His serve was like poetry in motion. As far as having the complete game of tennis (all the strokes), only 2 players in History have had this. Pistol Pete Sampras and Roger Federer ( history in the making). Noone else has shown their uncanny ability. PERIOD!
By: sho56may. on 08 Nov 08, 13:14:05
WOOOAH I don't know much about tennis but this guy is a killer at serve :O It's just like he can make an ace whenever he wants!! tremendous class

By: Calvarienberg. on 05 Nov 08, 10:47:36
He was an amazing player. I still admire him for his mature and perfected serve-and-volley technique. LEGEND.
By: weiserr74. on 05 Nov 08, 01:53:16
You're an idiot. Becker had more than just a serve. How could you ever feel cheated by watching him? There isn't a player today as exciting as Boris. Get real.
By: Mshine67. on 04 Nov 08, 15:54:23
God? No.. Great tennis players can do more than just serve the ball. Becker was one of the greatest and I loved to watch him play, but he often fell back on the Ace to win. Kind of like watching a one round knock out.. Exciting yes, but afterwards you feel cheated and unfullfilled.
