The true story is those Guards-men got hit in the face with rocks and bricks and were surrounded and backed into a corner, completely outnumbered. One of those hippie pigs took a shot at them and the Guards opened up. The only tragedy here was that more of those hippie vermin weren't killed... This is a very nicely edited video.... love th song, Neil Young is a genius. I heard he wrote this song in a half hour. The armed assault on unarmed students shocked the whole nation and all the university students across the nation went on a boycott following the incident, all caused by Nixon lying about "his secret plan" to end the war.. by invading Laos and Cambodia. Lying to the public will never illicit respect from the citizens it attempts to govern. His fall from grace was classic.

College kids couldn't get drafted back then, they were listed as students, and therefore they weren't allowed to be drafted.

Exactly. And when you think idependantly now your punished, myself and several friends were often either snubbed or sent out of class for simply questioning certain things such as immigration and unemployement and we were simply shunned for being either unpolitically correct, or simply because the teacher could not give an answer. All I can say is I'm glad not to be at school anymore, although again at college views are restricted somewhat.
