Thank you! This video is ok but I was pissed because my camera died right after the beaver pond segment and there were some tremendous hikes and experiences afterwards. The Minong is a tough trail but for some reason the hikes we did in the Porkies beat me up more. I think it was the Correction or Connection trail that wiped me out one day. I plan on putting up a video on the Porkies very soon. All the best on your hike. Isle Royale rocks!

Fantastic video! I'm heading to the island in two weeks and your video increases my anxiousness, tenfold!!!! Personally, I would never carry a video camera with me due the extra weight, but I'm so glad you did!!!! I've been to Fargo & I like it. Fantastic Midwestern values. Seems like a place where you know your neighbors. You can walk the streets at night & probably leave your car & your front door unlocked. The pace is slower but that's great. Try living, working, and driving in Chicago, Denver, or Boston for awhile and you can appreciate a GREAT town like Fargo.

I just got back from the Porkies, they were beautiful! I loved the view from Summit Peak. I had no idea the Porkies existed till I seen your video earlier this year and I had to make it a must. If you love the city you should go to Point Park University...then you could walk to a ballgame every week, plus Carnegie Science Center, Macy's and Lord and Taylor's, the Heinz History center, the incline and Mt. Thanks for commenting. I grew up on the other side of the state, the dark side if you will. I was very impressed by Pittsburgh, it's just a beautiful place and I want to go back. My only complaint is about the "famous" Primanti sandwiches. Yuck, it was like white bread, fries, slaw and meat. Total carb overload with no taste.

There's also pan handlers that do go down into Bricktown, not very often, but they are there, all they want the money for is drugs or alcolhol or both. If someone comes up to ya asking for change just politely say no and walk away and don't stop to listen if they keep talking, I mean, I don't want to turn our Tourist away or really down OKC, but you gotta be careful no matter where you go. Have your fun, just be aware of the people around you OK. Not all of them are what they may seem.

Well, visitors probably wouldn't really notice, but we do have the unliked kind around as in drug dealers, hookers,thiefs, just like any other city. But you wasn't too far from those kind. If you would've went 1 mile west, you would have seen some wild stuff. Reno & Shartel; horrible area. Continue down Reno still going west, even worse. I live close to Central, that's what the area is called that is about 5 or 6 miles from where you were. South Side Cholo's gang, very bad. Crips,Bloods, eh!

Yes, I did enjoy OKC. It's a big city so I wasn't able to see it all. I liked Bricktown (obviously liked it too much) because you can walk to different places. As for some of my comments, I was just being a wise ass with no harm intended. OKC was a blast and I'll stay there again.

I grew up in a small town and one of two things usually happen--You get bored or too many people know your biz. So, you suck it up or hit the road. I hit the road. In comparision, PDC is not as bad as some of the other towns I've visited. There are parts of America that remind me of a third world country. I guess that's what we are becoming.

Hi, just wanted to say that I attended the dropping of the carp last year. The people and the town of PDC couldn't have been nicer to us. We made a video of the event, you can see highlights on the dropping of the carp on this sight. I had a blast!!! Thanks!

Plus? It's too fricken close to Atlantic City! It's insane. I mean, cmon. Are you gonna go to Bethlehem, or the AC? Jersey Shore? or Lehigh River. Actually - the Discovery Center is really cool! It's got arts programs and dance schools and stuff. So, it's not bananas anymore, but a good use of the industrial space (considering).

The decline of steel began in the 1950s, equipment was not upgraded while countries destroyed during the war retooled. I left the LV in 1994. At the time Atown was actually considering building a truck museum on the site of A&B. Now, that would have been a fantastic travel destination! Not! Bethlehem is also all about tourism. Well, see if you can eat a gambling chip or a Bethlehem star.

I worked there this summer and not many people made it to the North Unit. If you are wanting horses then I am guessing you know that you need to go to the South Unit. The horses are pretty much everywhere right now and we have a 134. Make sure you go towards Wind Canyon when you are on the loop road. Good luck!

I live in Madison, Wisconsin. I loved and hated this trail. The views and hike itself were great, but we had trouble staying on the trail or seeing the markers. Wasted a lot of time and we didn't have a topo map with us. I'll know better next time.

Where are you from? I try to do the Achebach 2 times a season with my siblings and then do it with my friends once.. Its a great trail and the views are great. As a 16 year old I am pretty attached to the North Unit!! lol BTW I am from Watford 15 miles north of the park.. So access is really easy!
