Absolutely true. But what if, as crazy and fucked up as this sounds to some, there is a Heaven? What am I going to lose? 5 min. of praying that I do now and then? That's allright, I don't mind. I prefer to die thinking there's something there after death. If there isn't... well, I won't know it anyway, because I'll be dead... It's not like I'll be able to see that there isn't anything and bitch about the fact that my whole life I believed in a Creator.

I believe that religion helps in sculpting a "good" system of beliefs early on in certain individuals, that will keep them from doing things like that. Just because you don't do it, that doesn't mean every other atheists doesn't do it either. It works the other way around, of course. Just because the Priest I go to doesn't fuck little kids, that doesn't mean none of the other Priests have ever done it. Those lousy motherfuckers.

I see you've used the term "good" in there. What exactly is "good"? I am sure you know what a "good act" means when a Christian, Catholic, etc. refers to it. I couldn't care less about what you doubt. Just don't expect me or anybody else to have the same ideology as you. You (as an atheist) are in fact part of the minority, whether you like it or not. This is what I believe, it's how I've lived my life since I was little. With belief in a Creator and for me it's been going allright so far. Don't worry, God does indeed exist, there IS an afterlife. But instead of faith, He rewards those who are critical thinkers and have concluded that based off the available evidence that there is no God. The theists get spanked. I think you misunderstood my last statement. I don't fallow any religion in particular. I think that they are all greatly flawed and have very little proof to support them.
